iStock_000006632203SmallDr. Alan Peaslee, an optometrist with South Georgia Eye Partners, and his son Jason Peaslee, a licensed dispensing optician, is helping establish the first-ever eye clinic at the Bishop Kellogg Center in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic in February as part of an effort sponsored by Episcopal churches in Savannah and Tifton.

In addition to providing screenings and exams, the clinic will provide eyeglasses to those who need them. South Georgia Eye Partners is supporting this worthy cause –and we invite you to help as well.

How You Can Help:

  • Donate used reading glasses or other eyeglasses by January 30th at any of our three office locations in Valdosta, Tifton or Douglas.  Our team will clean, categorize and label the donated glasses for the trip.
  • Make financial contribution. Donations will be used to help purchase eyeglasses and supplies. Every contribution helps – Dr. Peaslee is able to purchase 200 pairs of glasses for $100 from a source that assists with charity work. A little can go a long way.
