Description

The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre & post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He / she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, AAAHC, and all Federal and State standards of care.

Responsibilities

Effectively manages the care of assigned patients using knowledge, skills, judgment and decision-making skills for the specific area and patient population.

Delivers patient care utilizing standardized evidenced based guidelines of care and appropriate resources, including personnel, services, supplies and equipment.

Administers medications according to our policies.

Performs and documents a standardized nursing assessment in a systematic, organized and continuous manner to identify and prioritize physical, psychosocial and cultural needs.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.

Experience as a RN in an ASC or outpatient is preferred

RN, current in the State of Georgia

Current ACLS / PALS

Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.

Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.

Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Required Experience

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

State of Georgia RN license.

Preop & or PACU experience in an outpatient setting preferred.

BLS & ACLS certification required
